I would rather be a chunk of Emerald because I would rather be the prettier one. I know that sounds bad, but it is what it is; I'd rather be the really pretty one. I like gems more anyways. I actually have both of these at my house. I collect stones and such. Every year my family and I go to this event in Augusta called "Rock Hounders." You go and buy stones, rocks, gems, and a lot of other cool stuff. I love going there. OMG I can't wait until graduation!!! It is in 10 days. Today is my last full day!!! Woo Hoo!!! I have to practice my speech... I should get on that. Today is my final day for Environmental Science. I still have some work to do for some classes, but there are some awesome teachers that aren't giving finals.

Lord of the Flies or Lord of the Rings??

Totally Lord of the Rings! I love that movie. I don't really like Lord of the Flies. It ticked me off actually. The book not so much, but the movie showed the kids and everything and I hated it. I can't imagine the kids this young being the only survivors. I hate the concept. Lord of the Ring is exciting and has mythical being in it and it is cool, unlike The Lord of the Flies. I really despise that movie of it, that is all I have been thinking about since I read this prompt.

Prom was so fun!! Many people didn't like the prom King and Queen choices, especially when they found out there were ties. Seriously, people were mad. They flipped a coin to decide the ties. Most people were mad at the fact that a home school student got King because he doesn't go to school with us. Right after the winners were announced a group of people left, it was pretty funny.

Friendship

It's first seems so easy to define something like friendship until you are made to do so. I think that friendship should be with people who accept you, who cheer you up, make you mad then make you laugh. In a friendship you should be able to forgive them and not be afraid to argue with them. In the end you accept the differences that you have and move on. They should say the truth no matter how it hurts, sugar coating it when necessary unless asked not to do so. They should be there when you need them unless they absolutely can't. Friendship is being able to say "I told you so" then making them feel better afterward. Friendship is understanding their belief whether they share the belief or not. Friendship is about sticking around even if they don't want you there.

Bummble bee or Polar bear?

When I first read that I had to choose between being a Bumble Bee and being a Polar bear, I asked myself if a Bumble bee was a species of a bee like how the Honey bee is one. I wouldn't want to be Honey bee because they are becoming endangered. I don't want to be a Polar bear either though because they are endangered too. I wonder if there is anything that is causing Honey bees to become endangered as well. Well I will say that I would be a Polar bear, but one that is at one of those breeding in captivity places. There are so cute and if they aren't in danger they will long longer than the Bumble bee. I think the Bumble bee is a specie: why else would the name of the bee so specific? I think it's a specie.

Senior Year

Thank goodness senior year is almost over. I have been in this same school for the past six years and frankly I am tired of it. We had a softball game yesterday against Greenville, we lost eight to twelve.Our next game is this Saturday, double header. I dislike this because now I have to get up early. Softball seems shorter this year, probably because we have so many double headers. I also because I think we aren't playing a couple teams that we usually play, even though we gained Vinalhaven (which is the double header Saturday). My finals for my Advanced Placement classes are next weeks. Not looking forward to them. I do get to miss some school, but that doesn't really matter to me. Also happening this week is Bob Marley and sometime soon I am going to get my license.

My weekend was not nearly long enough. I am so close to graduation that I can taste it. I can't wait until it arrives. Less than a month!! I am so excited. What I did this weekend wasn't much. I drove around and did homework. I have decided to basically give up in the Literature class. I COULD get a great grade, but truthfully I don't care, really not a flying turd about it.
Today we have a game today. I can't wait we live to it. I get to eat a dagwood!!! Games to Greenville are the only times I get one and I love them.

Wow, one quarter left and I graduate! I can't wait. I am sort of tired of being in high school. I have been in this school for six years, since the junior high was with the high school when I was, and it seems I have been here for ages. I like school and my friends, but they are so many things that I will not miss. I will not miss the people that are always obnoxious, they student who always get what they want (not that I don't them as a person, just that they get stuff that other people deserve more), teachers that have favorites and basically rub it in everyone else's faces, and teachers that mock student (there is one, and everyone else doesn't like that person either). I feel like I have outgrown my school and is still be being only looked at for the person I used to be. I get mad when people do that, and when I hear about people who talk about me behind my back about things that aren't true, it just proves that they aren't as mature as other people, those people are even some of the "favorite students" that some teachers hold in such high regard. It is ridiculous. Schools are biased and give advantages to people that don't need it. If those students are so wonderful, then they wouldn't need help now would they? Colleges is much better anyways. There are new people and they don't judge as much. High school kind of sucks.

Well I liked Wellness day because I didn't have to do schoolwork. I didn't like it because while doing the Human Knot my toe was stepped on (which I have had surgery on =/) and I cried and was brought into the school. I re-bandaged my toe and stayed in there until I had to go to the gym for the next part of Wellness day, tug-O-war. I didn't have to, but my toe felt better.

The worst job

I think that the worst job to have would be to be a janitor at Valley high school. A lot of the students in the school are disgusting and flood the toilets and does a lot of gross stuff. The feel bad for the janitors because of what they have to do to try and keep the bathrooms clean. The girls have done some pretty gross stuff to the bathroom walls a while back. They also wrote in the mirrors, the boys even took theirs down and hid them in the ceiling tiles. They need to realize that the school does not have to give us mirrors in the bathrooms, they can just take them away. All the people in this school need to respect others property. When this school closes down due to bad grades, showing that the school isn't being out to good use, they will have to go to some other school and then they will freak out about that too. People need to grow up. I notice also that if you say to them that they need to be respectful they will say that they need to be respected first. That is a lame excuse. That just proves that they are immature and don't deserve the respect toward them.

Oh, I got into Simmons college and Bay Path! That makes six schools that I have been accepted into. I have also been accepted into all the ones on my list.

My perfect bathroom

My perfect bathroom would be very clean. Instead of having to use those seat cover things, after every use of a toilet, a harmless antibacterial spray will disinfect the toilet. It will dry within seconds. The seats would also be heated. I hate it when I am at home and the toilet is cold, it's unpleasant. There would be a long mirror across the whole sink area so that people don't have to struggle looking around others. There would be delicious smelling hand soap and the sinks would be automatic and energy efficient. The hand dryers will also be like this. In Farmington there is a Green Building and it is amazing. The hand dryers use very little energy and it does this weird thing with your skin, it makes it wobble. In my bathroom it would have have sapphire colored tiles and shiny black linoleum. There would be skylights built into the ceiling in multiple places. The counters that they sink are in will be made of maple and the tops of them will be a dark grey granite. The stalls would be black and will all lock. There will be an air freshener. An option of Germ EX will be included.

Still haven't gotten a new blog yet. My teacher's computer is getting fixed so we haven't had a new one for a week. Yesterday, I fell asleep in class. I felt like crap. I forgot some homework at home and I wasn't sure where it was so I went to look for it. I also ended up having lunch there and taking a nap, which was good, I still had to go back for class and Drama after school.

I have a project in Environmental Science; I have to study the Temperate Coniferous Forest. It is proving to be more difficult then you would think. I keep finding Deciduous instead, which is something very different. I also have a project Chemistry, but it doesn't require as much work.

By the way, I don't like how there are ads on YouTube.

Catching up

So, there have been no more new blogs that I am suppose to answer. I wish that there was, I like a little bit or direction. Well, have some good news, just for me of course. I finally found out what a "Priority Student Application" is. When someone receives this, it means that the school thinks that they are very intelligent based on at a least of 3.80 GPA. That's cool. I don't know what my GPA is, but I now know that it is a least a 3.8, which I think is good. I have taken 3 AP classes, which I have been told will help.

I have been doing better with my senorist. I think I may have gotten rid of it. I have to do this video thing for my AP Literature and Composition class. It was due a while ago, but I had surgery and then I had to find a computer that I could do the taping on and I found one. I am going to use Ms. Flood's at the end of the week in the spare room next to her office. I don't really want to do it, but I should. I have been so busy lately. I have these classes, my ferret's very sick, I have Drama (haven't even had time to memorize my lines yet). Everything is just so crazy.

What I plan to do is sleeeeeeep. I don't get a lot of sleep during the week if I have school. I am also going to go to the tournament for the boy's game at the Augusta Civic Center. I will write about Farmville too, since I don't have a lot to say about this. I think that there should be weird and unusual plants. Everyday I go online that the same time and harvest whatever I have to. What I don't like about Farmville is the fact that they don't let us know how ling we have until the plant goes bad, like in Jungle Extreme. If it does, then my bad, but I have never seen it. When I first started it, I thought that if you weren't on the page at the 24 hours that the crops would die. I wonder if you stay on the page for days at a time, if it would update the plants while the page is there...I don't think so. But it would be cool.

My favorite kind of food would probably be red potato salad. I think that it really depends on the mood that I am in. I love red potato salad and not just any salad, New England potato salad. I don't get it a lot. One main reason is that it's not really that good for you. If I had to choose a country of food that I liked the most, I don;t think I could. I love Chinese food, but the food that they make here for us isn't the same as the food there. I have had the actual food too though, and it's good. I love Burmese food, and Italian food. And, of course, I like American food too, even though a lot of it came from other places too.I am thirsty. Did you know that soda can cause cancer?? Well, nowadays anything really can. I still drink it anyways, I'm not really worried. Plus I can counter it with foods that help to prevent cancer. Although, I don't think that's how it works...

If I could give any gift to any recipient, I would give my mom great health. I can't wait until Christmas!!! Mom and dad are going shopping again today after school. They went yesterday too, but they couldn't stay out too long because of the weather. My mom wouldn't even let me drive home because of it. Today two found poems are due. I really don't like found poems. I will post the two after this blog and you will see how odd they are. If you don't know what these poems are, please look them up or you will not the point of them.

The students in Valley high school are not split from each other by cliches; it is split by the behavior of the students. The students that have good behavior and who try in school all get along with each other, while the students who have bad behavior seem to pretty much hate everyone else. There are so many students that misbehave and frankly the seniors and many other students are sick and tired of it. We don;t care that you don't want to go to school. Do you think that we like to wake up at 5:30 every morning to sit in class? No we don't, but we suck it up in order to learn. If those student really don't want to learn, we don't care. Don't disrupt our education.

I love Christmas trees. My family has a fake tree. We have ferrets and it would be bad if we had a real tree. Real trees smell pretty good though. I don't remember ever having a real one... My favorite memory is a tradition. Every year, as a family, we decorate the tree together while watching Christmas shows either on TV or from a DVD. You know those trees that are different colors than natural trees? I kind of don't like them. To me they are pretty tacky. I am a pretty traditional person, so a tree that actually looks like a real tree is important.

Half day!!

We have a half day today!!! I am pretty happy about it. There is only about five school in Maine that have school today. I would love to be sleeping right now, but I get to more stuff today. I think it's almost funny that we have school because one time when Dr. Smith decided to have no school, it was a nice sunny day. The news had said there was going to be a storm. He was kicking himself for that one after that!

Obama Address

On Tuesday December first, Obama gave a speech at West Point. He says that he is deciding to send up to 40,000 more troops overseas. About 30,000 of these troops will be from the United States. He will also ask for troops from our NATO allies to put forth a war strategy in Afghanistan. He will also explain the United States involvement with Afghanistan which began in 2001 while Bush was in office. Obama will be reviewing this decision with leaders such as British Prime Minster Gordon Brown, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Russian Prime Minister Medvedev, and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. I don’t really know what to think about it. I am curious as to why 30,000 troops have to come from the United States when we are getting help. He gives a round-about number for the American troops, but when he talks to these other leaders will they help out to? He said he would talk to these people, but how will they be helpful to us? I didn’t see the address last night, but I read a summary of it. I don’t know whether or not we should send out more troops from the U.S. I’m hungry.

It has a restaurant that has anything you want for a reasonable price. I have every song ever made, a library with every book in the world. I love Thanksgiving. I can't wait. What I don't like about it though is that my basketball coach will make the team run more. Last years conversation between him and us went like this:

Coach- "I am making to run to get rid of the food you ate on Thanksgiving."

Jessica- "We haven't had Thanksgiving yet!" Coach- "I know, I am making you run it off because I know you will all eat a lot."

Bridgette- "No coach, we won't eat at all!"

I love the food =) The plan is to just have a meal with the immediate family.

I am so hungry right now. Also, my gum has a lack of taste. You know when you are hungry and you chew gum? Well you normally think "This will help me to distract myself from the fact I can't obtain food yet." Then you realize that tasteless gum seems worst. It's like it is teasing you by saying "Haha, you're chewing because you want to think it's food, but it has no flavor!" But you will still keep chewing it as if the flavor is going to change. And for some odd reason, even if you have more gum, you might not take anymore, like you're too lazy to.

I'm not exactly sure what dreams I can write about. It's not that they aren't all appropriate, just weird dreams I don't usually share. I actually had one last night. There was some scary guy at my house, he was scary because of his face, it was like from a horror movie. I was in the car with my family and we told my dad to hit him with the car. He chased him into a bush, but then he turned into a really cute guy who apparently was my boyfriend and he wasn't scary anymore =) I wouldn't let dad hit him, plus he wasn't going to try to kill us anymore. I know it's weird, but it's appropriate. haha

I like like snow!!! The trees look awesome!! My only problem is when I had to clean off the car; I didn't like it very much. I wish I knew how to ski. I am basically the only person in the Bingham, Moscow area that doesn't know how to. They asked me to join the ski team, and I said no because I don't know how. They said they would teach me. I told them that I was all set.

Don't get me right, I'm just asking.

I think that my weather for the day would start out cool. People would go to school in sweaters or coats. By the time second period is over they would need to take off their sweaters if they are wearing one. When they would go outside at the end of the school day it would still be cool outside, but not as cold as in the morning. That night it would be calm and warm so people can relax while they do homework, watch television, or read.

By the way, I think I got bit on the ear by a bug; It itches and has a bump on it.
Also, I just found out that Chop Suey is a Chinese dish.

No topic for today. I'm really tired. I wish there was a way to go to school to learn and still sleep. When the maximum hours of sleep has been taken in, people would just wake up. I don't think that that would be too helpful for teachers unless they can sleep and teach at the same time. Maybe we could all just wear special helmets that teach us as we sleep so we can go in later in the day. For instance, if you are suppose to have Chemistry and Advanced Math first and second period, then the helmet would feed you information about what you are suppose to be learning that day. The teachers could choose the programs the day before and the kids could put them in the helmet. The helmet would start up when school is suppose to start and end at an appropriate time so they could go to school still for social interaction and extracurricular activities.

I don't really know what I should write about. We had open-gym yesterday and it was so fun. I had thought that because of soccer I would be fully ready for basketball, but I was wrong!! There isn't a lot more running, but there is quite a bit of torso movement, so it work your arms and abs more. It felt so good after. I got a lot of bumps and bruises, but I don't mind at all. I have open- gym again today and tomorrow, and I can't wait.

I didn't really do too much on Halloween. I mostly got ready for my party the next day. It was my late birthday party. We had a bonfire at Foster's. It was so fun!! It was quite an interesting night. We had cake, balloons were thrown in fires, and people tried to eat inedible objects.

A US woman has baffled doctors after a scan showed her baby girl, and a second baby boy who was conceived two and a half weeks after the first. Both of the babies are developing side by side in her womb in an extremely rare case of ‘Superfoetation’.

Dr Karen Boyle, who works at the Greater Baltimore Medical Centre said: “When the woman had her ultrasound initially they saw one sack, one baby developing, and that baby had a certain gestational age”.

She went on to say, “Then they noticed a second heartbeat in a child that was much, much younger developmentally. It does really sound like this is a true case of different conception times for these children.”

Julia Grovenburg, the mum-to-be is thought to have conceived the second baby two and a half weeks after the first conception but it can only be confirmed after the births. Mrs Grovenburg’s obstetrician, Dr Michael Muylaert said: “This is an unusual and rare condition but the possibility is real. It can only be confirmed after delivery by chromosomal and metabolic studies on the babies.”

Although Superfoetation can be unsafe for the younger baby, experts say that the small gap of only two and a half weeks should not lead to any complications.

So today a friend of mine tried to go onto Facebook this morning. It is now blocked by the school. A few minutes later someone freaked out in the hallway about it.I find it funny how people become dependant on a website that is just suppose to be for enjoyment. Sure it might bother me, but it does because I needed to check something important on it, not play games. A few of the students know how to get on still, so people are still able to access it. Knowing our school, the students that know how will brag that they do, then people will ask. Some will tell them and then others will ask them and then they will tell, so on and so forth. Eventually all the people that used it in the first place will use it again, so there was really no point in blocking it.

Well, there is a new addiction for people at Valley high school, and it's called Farmville. Both students and teachers are playing it. Every class I see a student sneak a peek at their farm and "harvest" and "plant". Today we discovered a Dairy Farm and the class got extremely excited. Interesting.

I think that the citizen was trying to say that the American soldiers will not make the Taliban feel like the Americans are not much of a threat and the soldiers will not be able to stop the overall reason for these battles with each other. He wanted to say how we are inferior to the Taliban.

Superstitions

I think that I do have superstitions, but I think I have them only because I have been not allowed to do somethings that superstitious people are bothered by, like opening an umbrella in the house and breaking a mirror and receiving seven years bad luck. I am not even sure if I believe in them, but I don't want to try it.

Some other superstitions that I have heard are:
If women sit on cold stone/surfaces, they cannot have children.
If you are at dinner and you drop a spoon, you will have a female guest; if you drop a fork or a knife, you will have a male guest.
These were Russian superstition that I have heard of.

This link bring you to a article about feeding your kids food that they shouldn't eat. I ate a little of this stuff when I was younger, but not excessively. I think that I agree with it too, eating too much junk for when people are children will affect the stability of their mind, but I also think that there are other variables that contribute to this as well.

Annoying Songs

Well, there are four songs that I absolutely do NOT like.
1. I kissed a Girl - Never liked it. It is just weird to me. I don't have a problem with people being gay, but it is just weird to write a song about experimenting like this. I know there are other songs like this, but I haven't heard them and I would know I wouldn't like them. I am just not use to hearing people's "experiences" and frankly I don't care for them.
2. You're so Gay - This whole song basically only says "you're so gay that you don't even like boys." Pointless song. The song is being sung to a guy. How can you be so gay that you virtually aren't...huh.
3. Fergalicious - It is just annoying. Songs totally about yourself are just irritating.
4. This is the song that never ends - It repeats the same thing and has no point.
There are probably sooo many more, I know there are, but I can't think of them.

School Shut down

Wow, this is interesting. If the state shut down for one day it would save seven million dollars. That's a lot of money. I don't know if it is worth it thought. They make a good point about child care. Many people send their young children to daycare or nursery school through the schools so I don't see how this would be possible. People also will have to pay more money for their kids to be watched at if they are not being watched at by the schools. I don't know.

Homeless Shelter

I did not know that there was a homeless shelter nearby. I figured Maine had some, but I never took notice of them. I think that this is a good idea because it helps to get people off the street and, like the article says, to start over. I wouldn't volunteer here though. I know that sounds really mean, but I am not going to go help at the homeless shelter when I have so much to do already. I think that we should have a woman's shelter, especially since they have a men's shelter. And if not that, then a mixed shelter...but I don't know if that's such a good idea.

Monday morning blogging

Fun weekend. Saturday we had a game against Vinalhaven and won. It was sooo fun. Then that night I went to a play at Colby college and saw "Grease". It was awesome except for the fact that people were smoking while they were performing and I don't like cigarette smoke. After the play I hugged one of the actors that was really hott. He was really nice and funny. Sunday I really didn't do anything at all. I got to sleep in which was a biggg plus. Too bad I didn't get a good nights sleep last night. I have a lot of work that I didn't finish that is all due by noon today. Got to get it done!!!
